Mobile Application Privacy Policy
This chapter describes the privacy policy for WSU mobile applications. All the previous provisions remain applicable to the use of WSU mobile apps; the following should be understood as additional stipulations.
The mobile device stores an encrypted unique Application Identifier (generated during the app registration process on WSU’s side), which is stored on the device until the mobile app is deleted. The aforementioned Application Identifier, along with information about the mobile device’s brand, type, and hardware token, is transferred to Wall Street US during the app registration process and is used for explicit identification of the app and device. Communication between the mobile app and the WSU system is carried out using advanced decryption mechanisms. Depending on the mobile platform, WSU apps may access the following features on the device:
Depending on the app, its functions may be disabled by changing the system settings on the device or by uninstalling the application.
The mobile applications do not store any personal data that could allow a third party to identify an app user. Anonymous data related to user activity in the mobile apps may be processed by WSU for statistical purposes.
Additionally, WSU informs that the apps are connected to two services:
-
Firebase – to collect statistical data on app performance and information on how clients use the app; this data is completely anonymous.
-
Fabric.io – to collect statistical data on app performance and information on how clients use the app; this data is completely anonymous. This service also allows BC to collect information on app crashes (errors), which are also entirely anonymous and contain no data that could identify the client or their information.
